Can you imagine a more ominous sound than the slamming of a cell door? Many fear they have heard it. Locked away by their heavenly father. Incarcerated in personal guilt, shame. They crossed the Father's line. No need to request mercy, the account is empty.

Have you gone too far?  According to the Bible you haven't. Your imagination says you have, your memory says you have, logic says you have. But Paul says you have not. He relates this hope, "Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39 NCV). These words are the cymbal clash at the end of a great symphony of discovery.
