Never did Jesus stand so straight as he did in the face of death. The impending grave creates a curvature in many spines, not so with Christ. Have you heard some of his death-defying comments?

“I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.”  (Jn. 11:25 NIV)

Christ stares at death without so much as a blink. And, with these words, he invites us to do the same. Do you fear death? Do thoughts of cemeteries, morgues, caskets and corpses leave you wide-eyed and anxious? Then memorize his invitation.

“Don’t be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me…. I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” (Jn. 14:1-3 NLT)
